Chandigarh reports six new Covid-19 cases, one death

Chandigarh, September 22

Chandigarh reported six new Covid-19 cases and one fatality over the last 24 hours, a news bulletin from the administration said on Wednesday.

The union territory now has 44 active cases. Its average positivity rate over a week is 0.23%

The bulletin said 2,682 samples had been taken for testing over the last 24 hours. The UT’s fatality count stands at 819.

The bulletin also showed five recoveries.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
