Chandigarh school timings revised in view of cold, fog
In view of the cold spell and predicted dense fog in the region, the timings in all government/government aided and private schools in the UT Chandigarh will be as under:
Govt schools/govt aided schools: from Jan 13 to Jan 18:
Schools Classes Timings
Single-shift schools All classes 9.30 am to 2.30 pm
Double-shift schools 6th onwards 9.30 am to 2.30 pm
1st to 5th 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm
Private schools: from Jan 13 or the first day after the winter break, whichever is later, to Jan 18.
The private schools to open not before 9.30 am and close not later than 3.30 pm.
This was announced in a press release by the director, school education.
