Two days on, the unknown persons, who allegedly stalked and teased an 18-year-old girl when she was returning to her PG accommodation in Sector 34, are still at large.

The police said though they had the name of a suspect, who is the fourth owner of the I 20 car, there are no further leads. “We don’t have the address of the suspect,” said a policeman.

Meanwhile, police teams have gone to different parts of Punjab to gather more information about the suspect that could lead to his arrest. His arrest may further lead to the identification of others suspects accompanying him.

The victim was returning to her PG accommodation from a market on the Sunday evening when the suspects started following her in the car. They passed lewd comments at her. However, she ignored them and kept walking.

Sources said the suspects then stopped the car and tried to pull the victim into the vehicle. However, she stepped back.

A youth riding an Activa stopped and tried to intervene. However, the suspects thrashed him and damaged his scooter.
