Welcoming the decision of the UT Administration to open all shops from 9 am to 3 pm, Charanjiv Singh, president, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, said the decision would provide relief to traders.

Diwakar Sahoonja, chief spokesperson for the mandal, demanded priority vaccination of workers employed by traders. “As soon as the Covid situation improves, we will demand extension in the shop timings,” said Charanjiv Singh.

Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, a resident, and LC Arora, general secretary, Chandigarh Traders’ Association, Sector 17, also welcomed the decision of the Administration.
