The Chandigarh Traffic Police have issued an advisory for August 15, outlining traffic restrictions around Parade Ground, Sector 17, from 6.30 am until the Independence Day function concludes. Key routes, including stretches of Udyog Path, Old District Court to Shivalik Hotel, and Lyon’s Light Point to Parade Ground, will remain closed or diverted. No general parking will be allowed in front of Sector 22A market, with designated parking available at Sector 22B, Circus Ground, Neelam Cinema, and the Sector 17 multi-level facility.

Buses to ISBT Sector 17 will be diverted via Himalaya Marg, with further diversions between 10.30 and 11.30 am. Attendees must be seated by 8.30 am, enter through designated gates, and carry original photo ID. Prohibited items include bags, weapons, liquor, inflammables, black flags, and banners. The public is urged to follow instructions and disperse in an orderly manner after the event.
