The UT Transport Department has planned to start a daily bus service to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. the move came days after the inauguration of Ram Mandir.

Pradhuman Singh, Director, Transport, said the bus service from ISBT-17 to Ayodhya would be launched before Basant Panchami. He said the bus would depart from the ISTB-17 at 1.30 pm and would reach Ayodhya next day at 8.30 am.

Similarly, the bus would depart from Ayodhya at 4.30 pm and would arrive at the ISBT-17 the next day at 11.05 am. He said Rs 1,706 fare would be charged and the bus would cover a distance of 947km in 19 hours.

The CTU has been providing bus services to various destinations in the states of Punjab, Haryana, HP, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The bus services have also been plying to various religious destinations like Khatu Shyam, he said.
