Chandigarh, December 17

The city witnessed season’s first dense fog with the visibility reducing to 50m at 8:30 am today.

According to the Chandigarh Weather Department, foggy conditions are likely to remain for two days. Following which, it is expected to be a clear sky.

The day was relatively colder today. The maximum temperature fell from 20.4°C yesterday to 15.3°C today. The day temp was six degrees below normal.

The night also remained colder with the minimum temp at 5.6°C, which is one degree below normal. It was the season’s coldest night so far yesterday as the mercury dropped to 5.4°C.

It is expected the night temp will stay around 6°C, while the day’s temp will be around 20°C for the next few days.
