A woman has been arrested by the UT police for allegedly manhandling a Head Constable at the Haryana Information Commissioner’s office in Sector 8.

The complainant, Head Constable Sukhbir Singh, posted as a PSO with Vijai Vardhan, Chief Information Commissioner (CIC), Haryana Information Commissioner’s office, Sector 8, alleged that a woman resident of Jhajjar district in Haryana forcibly entered the office without citing the purpose of her visit and manhandled the complainant and pulled his uniform.

The police were informed and a case under Section 353 and 452 of the IPC was registered at the Sector 3 police station. The same woman was earlier held in June 2021 for assaulting a constable while trying to barge into Vardhan’s house in Sector 7. —
