Chandigarh reported 14 new cases—all from Bapu Dham—on Saturday, taking the total number of cases in the union territory to 233.

Bapu Dham colony is the worst-affected area in the city and a coronavirus hotspot.

Two women aged 38 and 36 and a 18-year-old male, all from the same household, had tested positive on Saturday morning. Eleven other people, including five teenagers, tested positive from two houses in Bapu Dham Colony later the same day. 

Chandigarh’s COVID-19 tally now stands at 233, with 51 active cases. Its death toll stands at three.
