City’s Tuba Sehar was selected to represent India at the Swiss League Event of the seventh Carrom World Cup, scheduled to be held at Male, Maldives from December 2 to 6.

Tuba has earlier represented India in various tournaments including, India –Sri Lanka Carrom Test Series in 2013, International Federation Cup (ICF CUP) in November 2015, 7th World Carrom Championship, at Birmingham in November 2016 and India – Maldives Carrom Test Series held at Maldives in 2016.

Winner of various state ranking tournaments, Tuba secured fourth position in the Women’s Singles event of the 52nd Senior National Championship, heled this year in March. She was also instrumental with her performance to win third position for the local team in the Women’s team Championship of the same event. “It’s a great moment for me to be a part of the Indian team for the World Cup,” said Tuba, who is a former winner of junior carom national ranking meet.

Ranked fifth in India (for the year 2024), she recently ended fourth in the (singles event) 43rd Senior National Championship held at Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh).
