Charanjiv Singh was unanimously elected the president of the Chandigarh Beopar Mandal (CBM) today.

The result was declared by Satpal Gupta, chairman, election committee. A certificate of declaration of the winner was presented to Singh, who was garlanded by former CBM president Anil Vohra. Charanjiv Singh complimented the unity in the CBM. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
