Anita Chaudhary, ex-president, Congress Mahila Morcha, and Monika Bansal, ex-president, BJP Mahila Morcha, observed fast in Sector 45-A. Among those who held protests were Subhash Gupta (Sector 29), Mukesh Kashyap (Sector 47), Sanjeev Bansal, AC Dhawan, Kamal Sharma (Sector 45), CP Thakur (Sector 44), Duryodhan Rana (Sector 41), Satish Khosla (Sector 40), Sukhdev Singh and Gian Kaur (Dhanas).

Nirmal Datt, who organised the agitation in different places of the city, said in the coming week, all councillors would observe a day-long fast-cum-dharna for ‘one-time settlement till the consensual redevelopment of the congested areas of the CHB belt’.

Banners with a slogan, ‘Hum yaad rakhenge’, were put up in the CHB colonies. Through these banners, an appeal was made to councillors to support the protest.
