In the women’s event, the university bagged bronze.
Panjab University men’s badminton team won the bronze medal, After facing defeat against Chitkara University in a very close fight, the Panjab University team outclassed other semifinalist MG University, Kerla 3-0. The team was represented by Akul Malik, Ishaan Sehag, Ishaan Rohella, Yash Tuteja, Ashwin, Ishmeet Singh and Akshiv Dutta.
In the women’s foil event of fencing, Panjab University team claimed bronze medal. They also bagged the bronze medal in the sabre event. In the women’s judo 78kg event, Muskan Rathi bagged the silver medal.
CU shine in archery
Chandigarh University archers won gold medal in the men’s compound event, and the mixed team claimed the bronze medal. In the women’s cycling (sprint), Chandigarh University won the bronze medal in 01:19.828, and in the team’s pursuit category, Panjab University finished in 04:21.168ss to win silver. In the men’s team sprint, Chandigarh University bagged silver in 01:08.315s, followed by a gold medal in team pursuit with a timing of 04:46.039s. The women’s fencing epee team bagged the bronze medal. In the men’s 100kg weight group, Yash Ghanghas bagged silver medal. The 4x100m medley mixed swimming team of Chandigarh University claimed silver 4:25.67s.
