The women’s badminton team of Chitkara University won the North Zone Inter-University Badminton Women Championship Trophy at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. The team was represented by Indian’s eighth ranked Surya Charishma, 11th rank Devika Sihag, 12th rank Sakshi Phogat, 14th ranked Shreya and 17th ranked Navya Kanderi. In the pre-quarterfinal, the university eves defeated Chandigarh University, Gharuan, 2-0, followed by an identical win over Panjab University in the quarterfinals to qualify for the super league.

In the league stage, Chitkara University recorded a 2-1 win over LPU, Phagwara, and a 2-1 win over Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. In the final league match, the university team defeated Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, 2-0. A total of 54 teams participated in the championship.
