Chitkara University, JioGames launch Innovation Centre to blend gaming and education

The centre is designed to provide immersive, hands-on learning and foster creativity, problem-solving and career readiness among students. It has a capacity of 80 students and is envisioned as a launch pad for those aspiring to become future leaders in innovation.
The facility houses three dedicated zones. The Esports Zone is equipped with professional-grade setups to enable participation in championships, collegiate leagues and professional tournaments, while building teamwork, leadership and strategy. The Streaming Zone features a sound-proof pod for live streaming, video production and digital content creation with advanced recording and broadcasting tools. The Premium Gaming Zone, powered by Jio’s cloud technology, offers access to high-end gaming without the need for expensive hardware.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor of Chitkara University, said the initiative would prepare students to innovate and compete globally. “The JioGames Innovation Centre will be a launch pad for our students to learn, innovate, and compete on a global scale. By blending technology, creativity, and skill-building, we aim to create opportunities for students to explore future-ready careers in one of the world’s most dynamic industry,” she said.
The collaboration between JioGames and Chitkara University aims to provide world-class infrastructure and nurture talent in gaming and digital entertainment. The centre is expected to contribute to India’s ambition of emerging as a global gaming powerhouse.
