In a bid to fight Covid-19 outbreak, which is rapidly spreading across the country, the WWICS and Continental Institute for International Studies (CIIS) have proposed to convert its college campus at Jalvehra, Fatehgarh Sahib, GT Road, into quarantine/isolation unit for patients impacted by the pandemic.

Lt Col BS Sandhu (retd), chairman and managing director, WWICS Group of Companies, said the sanitation work had already started to protect students and the housekeeping staff living on campus from the virus. The college authorities had taken proactive steps to provide separate living spaces for students and staff so that they did not get infected with the disease, he added.

“In these unprecedented times, we are fully committed to play a constructive role in supporting individuals on the frontlines of this fight against Covid-19,” he said.
