City eves beat Tripura team by 8 wickets
In a low scoring match, Chandigarh girls defeated Tripura by eight wickets during the Women’s U-23 T20 Trophy in Jamshedpur.
Batting first, Tripura posted 95/8 in the allotted 20 overs. Priya Sutradhar (25) was the main scorer for the side. Ishana Chadha and Pushpa Bishnoi claimed two wickets each for the bowling side. In reply, Chandigarh girls scored 99/2 in 19 overs. Skipper Aaradhana D Bisht scored 41 and Sarah posted 28.
Meanwhile, Punjab eves recorded a nine-wicket win over Manipur in a one-sided match in Rajkot. Batting first, Manipur eves were sent packing for 42. In reply, Avneet Kaur scored 26 to help Punjab win.
