In reply to Chandigarh’s first innings total of 472, the visiting side posted 256. After forced to follow-on, Assam batters once again failed to find their way and bundled out at 209. Resuming from overnight 111/6, the Assam batters held on to the crease for a while before conceding defeat. Skipper, Dipankar Paul delayed the defeat by scoring 59 off 89 balls, with five boundaries and two sixes. However, he failed to get ample support from the other end. Manish Mahato (13) was the sole batter to contribute in double figure, while Ranjan Bikash Das posted 35-ball eight runs. Ishaan (3/45) and Gaganpreet Singh (3/69) remained the leading wicket takers for the bowling side, while Aditya picked 2/10. Parth and Ankan Latka picked one wicket each.
Playing at their home ground in Ropar, Punjab lads posted an eight-wicket win over Saurashtra. Batting first, Saurashtra batters were restricted to 213.
In reply, Punjab lads posted 419, as Arjun Rajput posted a brilliant 121 off 126 balls, with 11 boundaries and five sixes. Sagar Virk (80 off 185 balls, with 11 boundaries) and skipper Aryan Yadav (80 off 123 balls, with 13 boundaries and one six) also contributed a major share. Sarthak Tyagi posted 171-ball 42 runs.
In their second innings, Saurashtra lads scored 311 to give 105-run target to Punjab. Punjab posted 108 /2 to log an easy win with the help of Sagar Virk (54 off 78 balls, with six boundaries and two sixes) and Arjun Rajput (34 off 60 balls, with four boundaries).
