Chandigarh: The city reported 35 fresh Covid cases on Thursday. The overall count reached 91,489. The city also saw two deaths. A 79-year-old woman from Sector 50, a case of hypertension, heart disease and stroke, died at the PGI. A 68-year-old woman from Mani Majra was brought dead at the GMCH, Sector 32. She was tested and found positive for Covid posthumously. Both deceased were not vaccinated against Covid. — TNS

36 new cases in Mohali, no death

mohali: The district reported 36 fresh Covid cases during the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 95,329, whereas 87 patients were cured of the disease. No death due to the virus was reported from any part of the district on Thursday. There are now 385 active cases. Of them, 379 persons are under home isolation, while six have been admitted to various hospitals in the district. The death toll stands at 1,144. —TNS

23 fresh cases in Panchkula district

panchkula: The district reported 23 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday, taking the overall tally to 43,933. The active caseload came down to 106. The death toll remained unchanged at 412. Meanwhile, the number of people who have recovered from the disease rose to 43,415. —
