Chandigarh: A local court has sentenced a Chandigarh resident to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment in a NDPS case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on convict Kamal Kishore. As per the prosecution, Kamal Kishore was arrested on July 22, 2017 with 15 injections of Buprenorphine Omgesic and 15 injections of Pheniramine Maleate. After an investigation, the police filed the chargesheet against the man under the Section 22 of the NDPS Act. Kamal Kishore’s counsel said the accused was falsely implicated in the case. After hearing of the arguments, the court sentenced the man to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment.
