The girls’ U-14 football team representing the city booked its pre-quarterfinals spot at the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National Championship.

The ongoing 68th SGFI National Games saw the local team clear the league stage by winning both their matches, at Kolhapur, Maharashtra. In the first match, the local eves posted a stunning 4-2 comeback win over Indian Public Schools’ Conference (IPSC) team, followed by a a dominant 3-0 win over Karnataka.
