A mega cleanliness drive was held at the Mata Mansa Devi Temple complex here today under the leadership of Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta.

Gupta stressed that to keep the temple premises neat and clean, arrangements for dustbins should be made at various places and added that toilets should be cleaned regularly. The drive was carried out as part of a special campaign launched on the call of PM Narendra Modi. All temples and other places of worship are being cleaned as part of the campaign, ahead of the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.

Stating that January 22 will go down as a historic day, Gupta said, “After a long wait of about 550 years, Lord Ram’s temple will be consecrated in Ayodhya, which is a matter of pride for all countrymen.” He called upon the residents of Panchkula to celebrate this day in a grand manner and light at least five lamps at home.
