Debasis Sahoo and second seed Pooja Ingale (MH) won singles titles of the CLTA-AITA National Ranking Tennis Championship for Men and Women held at CLTA Tennis Stadium here today. The winners also won cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each.

Debasis Sahoo (OD) outplayed Shanker Heisnam (MN) 6-1, 6-3 in straight sets. Debasish played in top form and closed the first set 6-1 easily. In the second set Debasish maintained his momentum and took some resistance. Finally Debasish closed the set and the match 6-3.

In the women’s singles final second seed Pooja Ingale (MH) won from Mahika Khanna (UP) 5-7, 6-0, 6-4 in a three setter marathon match. Pooja Ingale used her experience and won the match. Both the players played high intensity tennis.

Men’s single final result: Debasish Sahoo (OD) (Q) beat Shanker Heisnam (MN) 6-1, 6-3

Women’s singles final result: Pooja Ingale (MH) beat Mahika Khanna (UP) (Q) 5-7, 6-0, 6-4
