The Municipal Corporation (MC) has decided to carry out regular inspections of road gullies and paver blocks.

The decision was taken at the first meeting of the Road Committee of the MC held today under the chairmanship of Dalip Sharma. The meeting was attended by other committee members, including Rajinder Singh, Sarabjit Kaur, Gurcharanjit Singh, Suman Devi, Manaur and Naresh Panchal, along with officials concerned of the MC.

The committee members decided to conduct regular visits with area councillor concerned to inspect and address issues related to paver blocks and damaged road gullies.

It was resolved that encroachments on V-4 and V-5 road berms will be removed within 15 days with the assistance of the enforcement team.

The committee directed the preparation of estimates up to Rs 25 lakh for urgent recarpeting of roads and paver block work, which will be presented for approval in the next meeting.
