Chandigarh Chief Secretary H Rajesh Prasad today directed the Engineering Department to ensure that all pending road repair works across the city are completed by December 15. Chairing a high-level review meeting to assess the progress of various ongoing issues, Prasad instructed the Estate Office to auction vacant residential and commercial properties as per a calibrated schedule. Similarly, the Chandigarh Housing Board was directed to initiate the e-auction process for its properties in a phased and transparent manner.

The MC was advised to augment its revenue by streamlining parking management, ensuring recovery of outstanding property tax and enhancing the collection of advertisement charges. The Chief Secretary reiterated that strict compliance with court directions must be ensured by all departments.
