Congress workers on Sunday installed lotus flowers, BJP’s election symbol, on potholes near the Sector 19/27 light point in a symbolic protest against the poor state of roads under the BJP government.
Congress leader Harmail Kesri said the act was aimed at drawing attention to the deteriorating condition of city roads during the BJP’s tenure.

Councillor Gurpreet Gabi alleged that due to BJP’s wrong policies, the Municipal Corporation (MC) has become bankrupt today. He claimed that the BJP wasted MC funds on 24-hour water supply project.
A deal was made with a French company but residents of Chandigarh are yet to receive either 24-hour water supply or clean drinking water as promised.
