Panchkula, February 9
Haryana Congress chief and Rajya Sabha member Kumari Selja today said the country’s Constitution was under constant threat in the BJP rule.
The path of equality shown by the Constitution was being tinkered with under the RSS agenda, she said at a function organised to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas at Guru Ravidas Bhawan in Sector 15 here.
The Congress leader said, “Not only he (Ravidas) raised his voice against discrimination, he went beyond that and gave a message for the entire humanity.”
“Dr BR Ambedkar was joined by many great men, including Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in giving us our Constitution that guarantees us freedom as well as equality and the right to live with dignity,” she said. “Our Constitutional values are under pressure under the agenda of the RSS,” she alleged.
