As per the schedule, the elections for faculties will be held on April 26, while for principals of technical and professional colleges on May 3, professors of the university teaching departments and associate professors/assistant professors of the university teaching departments on May 10, heads of affiliated arts colleges, associate professor/assistant professor of affiliated arts colleges and registered graduates on May 16.

While majority of contestants opted for an online mode of canvassing, few were seen visiting houses of voters during door-to-door campaigning. “The seasoned ones will be canvassing online. Those, who expect tough fight, will surely opt for every means to convince voters,” said one of the contestants. — TNS
