The UT police deployed personnel inside and outside the SD College in Sector 32 to maintain law and order after two back-to-back incidents of stabbing were reported from the institution within a span of three days.

Three students were injured in the latest incident reported on Wednesday afternoon. An FIR has been registered against five students, including SD College Union president Jatin Jot and member Navleen Sidhu, under Sections 118, 126(2), 190, 191, 192, 318, and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The victims were Gurkirat Singh, Harman Deep Maan, and Karan Deep Singh — all affiliated with the Independent Student Front. The violence was allegedly in response to an incident on Monday, where front members were accused of assaulting an SDCU supporter.
