The protest march began from the BJP office in Sector 33 and proceeded towards Congress Bhawan in Sector 35. The police had installed barricades to stop the workers from moving towards the Congress office.

As the party workers raising slogans against the Congress tried to cross the barricades, a scuffle took place between the police and them. Cops resorted to the use of water cannons to prevent the workers from moving forward.

City BJP chief Jatinder Pal Malhotra led the protest. The party’s general secretaries Ramveer Bhatti and Sanjeev Rana, media incharge Ravi Rawat, and city BJYM incharge Ramesh Sehor also took part in the protest.

Malhotra said the abusive remarks against the PM and his mother reflected the Congress petty mindset. BJYM leaders Priya Paswan, Shanu Dubey, Abhay Jha, Sachin, Khushboo Verma, Manoj Chaudhary, Mukesh Mehra, Sukhraj Gill, Nikku Pandey, Aditya Sharma and Ritik Shukla along with other office-bearers were present on the occasion.
