Chandigarh on Tuesday reported five new cases of coronavirus, taking the union territory’s case tally to 439.

Three cases were reported from Sector 41, where a 15-year-old boy, a 47-year-old woman and a 53-year-old tested positive for contagion. The other two cases were recorded in Sector 23 in a 65-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman. 

Active cases in the city have now shot up to 84.
