Several councillors of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation have donated their one month’s salary to support flood victims in Punjab.

On Tuesday, a cheque for Rs 1,75,000 was handed over to Jaspreet Kaur and Gurvinder Happy, representatives of the “Tera Hi Tera” mission, run by Shri Guru Granth Sahib Sewa Society, to extend support to flood victims.

Gurpreet Singh Gabi, Kuljit Singh Sandhu, Prem Lata, Anju Katyal, Taruna Mehta, Suman Sharma, Nirmala Devi, Satinder Singh Sidhu and Jasbir Singh Bunty are among the councillors who donated their one month’s salary.

Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla also announced to donate her one month’s salary to flood victims.
