Court rejects bail application of accused

Chandigarh, June 12
A local court has rejected the bail application of one of the accused, Kamaldeep Singh, in the alleged firing incident that took place outside Score Club here in 2015.
The police had registered a case on the complaint of Surjit Singh, who alleged that on June 1, 2015, Kamaldeep, along with co-accused, entered the club under the influence of alcohol and demanded more liquor. When they were denied liquor, they started creating ruckus. They were thrown out of the club with the help of bouncers.
Later, Kamaldeep, along with co-accused, allegedly took out a pistol from their car and opened fire. Three persons received injuries in the mishap.
The police had registered the case against the accused under Sections 307, 326, 212 and 34 of the IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act at the Sector 3 police station.
As per the prosecution, the accused remained at large for a long time and was arrested on August 16, 2017. As per the supplementary challan, the petitioner, Kamaldeep, along with co-accused, fired four shots from a country-made pistol, injuring three persons.
After hearing the arguments, the court dismissed the bail application of the accused.
