Covid hits RLA office, Chandigarh Administration limits services

Chandigarh, January 20

In the wake of Covid-19 cases surfacing in the office of the Registering & Licensing Authority (RLA), the UT Administration has been decided that the office would function with limited services and only with prior appointment.

The services allowed with prior appointment include registration of new vehicles, registration of fancy/choice numbers, renewal of registration certificate, international driving permit and renewal of driving licence.

A senior RLA officer said a total 36 cases of Covid had been reported from the authority office so far.

The applicants having online appointment of functional services can visit the RLA office. They are required to follow the Covid protocol. In case of any query, applicants may contact on 0172-2700341.
