The police arrested a criminal, Lovish Grover, a resident of Ludhiana, after a brief encounter in Zirakpur tonight.

Lovish fired three gunshots at the police after which the cops opened retaliatory fire. He was shot in the leg and was taken to the Dera Bassi Civil Hospital.

The police recovered three illegal weapons from his possession and booked him under relevant Sections of the BNS at Zirakpur police station. He already faces 10 cases registered at different police stations.
