Chandigarh, September 24

Employees of the Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), Sector 19, Chandigarh, under the banner of the CRRID Employees’ Welfare Association (CEWA) and Punjab State Cooperatives, Boards, Corporation Employees/ Workers Mahasangh, held a protest and raised slogans against the CRRID management.

The employees held the protest against the management for its failures in resolving administrative and financial issues, including non-disbursement of salaries of employees for the past over three months.

CEWA members also assured the team of the Mahasangh to actively participate in a collective rally to be held on October 5 at Udyog Bhawan, Sector 17, Chandigarh.

Despite repeated requests and appeals from CRRID employees to the management to resolve the issues and disburse salaries, the management did not respond and took no concrete steps to resolve the issues.
