The UT Administration today declared seven micro-containment zones and one containment zone in the city.

District Magistrate Mandip Singh Brar said regular screening and monitoring of the areas would continue. Residents were advised to strictly maintain social distancing norms and wear face masks.

The affected areas declared as micro-containment zones are parts of Sector 29 and 47, part of New Indira Colony and part of Shanti Nagar, Mariwala Town, and Morigate Area in Mani Majra; and all houses in Gali No. 9, Shanti Nagar, in Mani Majra have been declared as a containment zone. — TNS
