To break the chain of coronavirus transmission, the UT Administration today declared six more micro-containment zones in the city.

UT Adviser Manoj Parida said the issue of outbreak of Covid-19 was examined by a committee and a considered view emerged that the affected areas be declared as micro-containment zones.

The affected areas declared as micro-containment zones are: Part of Sector 20, 27, 30, 44-A, 45-C and Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran.

Parida said regular screening of the areas would continue and frequent sanitisation would be conducted and residents had been advised to strictly maintain social distancing, wear masks and follow hand hygiene. As many as eight micro-containment zones were declared on December 3. — TNS
