Chandigarh: DAV College athletes scored 127 point to win the Panjab University 73rd annual athletics meet for men. GGDSD College (38 points) and GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, (29 points) won second and third positions, respectively. In the women’s category, DAV College (96 points), Khalsa College for Women, Ludhiana, (63 points) and GTB Khalsa College for Women, Dasuya, (29 points) won the honours. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
