To maintain and law and order, the district administration today held a review meeting with officials of various departments.

Deputy Commissioner Amit Talwar issued instructions to the police and district officials to keep the people of the district safe and maintain law and order. He said the administration was keeping a close watch on offices opened by travel agents for immigration and consultancy activities. Talwar asked the police to submit a report as soon as possible after settling the pending cases against travel agents.

The DC said instructions had been issued to check the accommodation of mischievous miscreants in various private societies in the district. He directed the private societies to keep a complete record of visitors.

ADC Amaninder Kaur Brar, ADC (UD) Pooja Syal, Mohali SDM Harbans Singh, Kharar SDM Ravinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Complaints) Tarsem Chand, DSP Surinder Mohan Singh and senior officials of other departments were among those present in the meeting.
