The MC has so far issued notices to 548 defaulters in four sectors of the city.

A senior official said the corporation had the right to seize commercial property in case of tax default, but they were not able to take action against the residential property tax defaulters.

“Now, we have decided to disconnect the water connection of the household against which house tax is pending,” he added. — TNS
