This extension has been granted to facilitate uninterrupted water supply and rectification of any defect that may arise during the 24x7 water supply system to the residents of Manimajra.

The Tribune in its report published on November 12 had highlighted the issue that amid the controversy over the success of the project, the defect liability period of the project ended on November 11. With the end of the period, the MC will have to pay nearly Rs 6 crore yearly for the operation and maintenance of the project to the company. The MC has already given the performance certificate to the project.

Controversy over the project started after the Vigilance Department started a probe in the project.
