Amity University Punjab organised a convocation on Saturday at the Mohali campus, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of its students. The ceremony witnessed the conferring of degrees, awards, medals and honorary doctorates.

The convocation was graced by Chancellor Dr Atul Chauhan, along with trustees Ajay Chauhan and Abhay Chauhan, senior leadership of the Amity Education Group, members of the governing bodies, faculty, proud parents and graduating students.

The ceremony commenced with an academic procession, led by the trustees, senior dignitaries, deans, heads of schools and faculty members. The convocation was formally declared open by Chancellor Chauhan, followed by the presentation of the university annual report by Prof Puneet Sharma, Additional Pro Vice-Chancellor.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the conferring of Honorary Doctorates (D Phil, Honoris Causa) upon two eminent industry leaders—Dr Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer, Air India and Dr Anand Ramamurthy, Managing Director, Micron India. Their acceptance speeches inspired students with real-world perspectives on leadership, innovation and excellence.

The university conferred degrees upon 866 students from undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The event also witnessed the presentation of 86 academic awards, 47 medals, 36 Shri Baljit Shastri Awards for Human and Traditional Values, four best all-round student awards and eight Dr Ashok K Chauhan 100% Scholarship Awards.
