The Meteorological Department has warned of dense fog in the city for next two days.

Amid cold wave, the city received 0.7mm rainfall this morning. “Partly cloudy sky with the possibility of dense fog is likely on January 17 and 18,” stated the Met Department today. It has predicted partly cloudy sky from January 19 to 21.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 17.8° Celsius on Thursday, which was 0.4 degree below normal. As compared to yesterday, there was a fall of 3.9 degrees in the average maximum temperature.

Similarly, there was an increase of 3.7 degrees in the average minimum temperature as compared to yesterday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.6° Celsius in the city, which was 3.2 degree above normal.
