Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Himanshu Gupta held a meeting at his office with baler operators and industrial units that used stubble. He urged the baler operators and industrial units to cooperate with the authorities concerned to clear fields as early as possible to make them ready for the next crop. He said a sufficient number of dumping sites had been identified in the Sub-Division’s villages for keeping the stock of bale.

Insisting upon mapping baler operators and industrial units, he said it would help maintain a smooth supply of the bale from the fields to dumping sites during the peak season and help gretly in preventing stubble-burning.
