Desh Bhagat University offers scholarships, jobs to support Pahalgam victims' families

In a compassionate gesture, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, announced a special initiative to support the families affected by the recent Pahalgam terror attack.

The university will provide 100% scholarships on tuition fees for eligible family members (dependents) of the victims. The initiative will allow the families to pursue education in a wide range of programs offered by the university.

Scholarships will be applicable for regular programs in Engineering, Management, Commerce, Computer Applications, Hotel Management and Humanities.

Additionally, based on qualifications and experience, employment opportunities in teaching or administrative roles will be offered to surviving spouses or dependent family members.

Desh Bhagat University chancellor Dr Zora Singh stated, “The university stands as a pillar of support for those who have suffered unimaginable losses. With utmost humility and a deep sense of responsibility, we offer education and employment opportunities to honour the resilience of these families and help them rebuild their future.”
