On a statement of the child’s mother, the police booked a private school principal in MS Enclave, Dhakoli. The victim’s mother alleged that the student had gone to the principal to submit the fee, but the latter beat him up and pushed him to the floor. The child suffered a head injury and an abrasion on the arm.

The principal denied the allegations and claimed that the child had come to her with a note.

“The child was admitted to the school in April, but he has not paid the fee since then. The parents have not even submitted the child’s transfer certificate. The child is being taught in the school just like other students,” she said.

Dhakoli SHO Hardeep Singh said, “The matter is being investigated. They are awaiting the medical report of the child. A case has been registered on a complaint filed by the child’s mother.”
