Panchkula, November 25

A discussion was held on the occasion of, “International day for the elimination of violence against women”, at the women police station, Sector 5, here today.

Root cause of various forms of abuse and violence against women and children were discussed on the occasion. Rape, acid attacks, paedophilia, incest and other issues were also discussed.

Those present on the occasion were the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Panchkula, Noopur Bishnoi, grief counsellor Renu Mathur, protection officer Sonia Sabharwal, lawyers Sapna Sehrawat and Shiwani Kanwar.
