With rising Covid cases among the personnel of the UT police, a team of doctors from the police hospital, Sector 26, has been tasked with keeping regular communication with the patients.

Police official said the doctors are regularly communicating with Covid-positive police personnel over the phone and also visiting their houses to prescribe medicines according to their health issues.

The Police Department has also started a helpline for Covid-related stress and anxiety as well as for psychological counselling of police personnel.

An immunity-booster kit comprising vitamin C and zinc tablets is also being distributed to all field police officials on field duty to boost their immunity during the second wave of this pandemic.
