On the concluding day of the Roots AITA CS(7) National Ranking Championship at Roots Tennis Academy, Zirakpur, top seed Sherry Sharma won the girls U-16 trophy by defeating Ahana Das of West Bengal 6-1 6-0. In the girls’ U-18 final, Sherry faced a tough resistance from Haryana’s Avni Sahraya before staging a stunning comeback 3-6 6-2 6-0 to win her second title of the day.

In the boys U-16 final, top seed Gaurish Madaan recorded a hard-fought win over Mahijith Singh. Top seed Armaan Walia won the boys’ U-18 title clash against Aarya Vaibhav Nigam 6-1 6-0. The pair of

Harsh Marwaha and Daksh Khokhar won the boys’ doubles U-18 final by defeating Mahijith Singh and Adeshbir Singh 6-1 6-4.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
